"Markets.com is pleased to announce that this extreme volatility didn’t impact the firm’s strong financial position. Thanks to the company’s robust risk management policies, the Company enjoyed a profitable trading day in yesterday’s session and didn’t have any negative impact from the Swiss Franc’s extreme volatility.
Markets.com is happy to update all of its clients, that as per its previous commitment to its clients, the Company is forgiving all negative balances on clients’ accounts that were caused when clients couldn’t close their Swiss Franc positions fast enough. Markets.com has a firm commitment to its retail clients that they can never risk more than the funds in their account, and thus when severe market volatility and gaps take place, the Company adjusts clients’ negative balances accordingly."

It has just been reported within the hour that FXCM has received a new lease from Leucadia National, an American holding company often engaged in mining, drilling, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, banking services, real estate and winery through its various subsidiaries.
The massive $300M bailout comes after the SNB's decision to drop their 3 year old defence of the Euro at 1.20 levels, and is in exchange for $250M in 2 year senior secured notes with a 10% coupon, meaning if FXCM gets sold Leucadia will receive 75% of proceeds (Which means for Leucadia to break even FXCM would have to be sold for at least $400M, though on Thursday's close it was worth $600M so not unrealistic).
In regards to the announcement FXCM's CEO Drew Niv said, "Leucadia's support and this financing are by far the best alternative for FXCM, our customers, our shareholders, and all other relevant constituencies."
After the SNB's decision, FXCM had warned clients owe the firm $225M and left the firm in breach of legal capital requirements, with share price falling 90% in pre-market trading, which was quickly suspended.
FXCM was ranked the largest broker during 2014 Q3 by Forex Magnates (based purely on retail trading volume), and was in danger of joining the 3rd ranked competitor (Alpari UK) who had earlier declared insolvency in only a few hours. However Mr. Niv can now let out a sigh of relief as FXCM now joins the list of brokers who have been able to survive the SNB's sucker punch now widely referred to as the "Black Thursday."
Share value of FXCM is likely to raise after the weekend as word spreads, though after the announcement Leucadia's share price is yet to react with only 0.2% change so far. You can be sure this blogger will have both eyes fixed on FXCM and Leucadia early next week as markets return to work...

Ook Markets bericht dat ze de negatieve balans vergeven ten gevolge van De Zwitserse surprise move en dat het loslaten van de cap geen negatieve impact heeft gehad op hun balans.
En weet je zo wat Plus500 doet?

Over the last 24 hours the currency markets have seen extreme volatility due to the Swiss National Bank’s abandonment of its EURCHF floor. This extreme volatility has rocked the markets with many brokers reporting major losses.
At Pepperstone, our strong financial profile and risk management systems mean that the business is operating as usual and has been largely unaffected by these events.
Pepperstone continues to hold well in excess of our ASIC regulatory capital requirements.
While we have experienced a high volume of support related inquiries around the recent market volatility, our trading and support hours remain normal. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions.

Cadeautje?
berichtjes van de voorbije dagen:

Hello,
We have covered your negative balance so that you can deposit and continue trading. Thank you.
Best regards,

Dear Client,
As you may already know, yesterday morning there was a very sudden and massive move in Swiss Franc pairs.
CHF pairs have never seen this record-high volatility.
Within few moments EURCHF dropped to below 1 from an early morning solid-high above 1.20. Other CHF pairs experienced similar extreme moves seen with EURCHF.
What does it mean for traders?
Of course, it was a golden-opportunity for many traders to earn quite a lot. Clients of many brokers, however, were not able to profit from this move due to requotes and rejects. Many brokers have started to cancel Client profits with reference to various causes and contract conditions. We are very sorry to see that happening!
Why Tickmill Clients remain calm?
Simple! Because as always, we didn’t issue a single re-quote and our Clients can keep their profits in their pockets.
We are proud to report that it is business as usual at Tickmill as client trading and all other processes are going normally.
Tickmill is proud of its strong reputation and integrity. We thank our customers for their continued loyalty and welcome new traders who want to experience outstanding service and execution.
This is Tickmill’s approach to trading and serving our clients! We welcome all new Clients!
Thank you for being our Client! We wish you profitable trading as always!
Tickmill Team

Tickmill announced today its readiness to buy client portfolios and assets of FX brokers who have run into difficulties due to recent market events related to record Swiss Franc volatility.
With a strong capital base Tickmill is looking forward to seize this historic opportunity and significantly increase its client base and market share.
The management was able to foresee recent Swiss Franc developments. As a result, the company was not affected by market moves thanks to the excellent risk management systems and Tickmill’s directors, who have over 15 years of experience in the FX industry.
Tickmill stands strong to onboard unlimited number of new clients and is also able to absorb FX brokers who lack sufficient capital for operations.
